Cuomo brushes off criticism of New York abortion law: 'I'm not here to legislate religion'
Amid Catholic leaders' calls for excommunication, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo stands by the new state law that allows abortions to be performed by non-doctors up until the point of birth for many reasons. Cuomo, who said he doesn't "represent" the church of his self-professed faith, wants to go even further, not only codifying Roe v. Wade into state law but also in the constitution.
